How long will my bathtub be out of order?
For a typical repair or refinish there is the day of work followed by a 24 hour dry time minimum.
How can I prepare for you?
Take everything out of your bathroom. That includes everything in the shower, the shower curtain and anything on the counters in the restroom. I will cover the fixtures, walls and floors.
How can I care for my newly repaired/refinished bathtub?
When either service is provided, acrylic paint is professionally sprayed to cover surface. So, it can no longer be cleaned in the traditional sense. No abrasive cleaners, no scrubbing, bleach, or any acidic cleaners. Soaps, bottles, and anything that can't airdry can no longer be stored on painted surfaces Soft and natural cleaners with rags and sponges recommended.
Are there any service charges?
Trip Charge - If on scheduled day vacant or occupied address is not made accessible. - $60
Inspection - Professional opinion on possible repairs ($30 waived if able to do it at that time.) -$60
Mileage - Charges incurred outside of the 30-mile radius from the office (Pickwick Park) - $0.67/mile
How long does the refinishing/repair last?
With proper care, several years. I warranty most of my refinished/repair work for the first year because if it is going to fail based on the application, it will within a few months. Following care instructions is key.
